After tearing her ACL and no longer being able to play sports for a time, she found she could still participate in yoga with the team. It served as a powerful tool in helping her find a connection to herself and to others during a difficult time. She saw many benefits of the practice translate into other aspects of her life.
She deepened her personal practice by joining a studio and taking classes consistently. Through connecting her breath with movement, she learned how transformative living in the present moment can be. Her experience with practicing yoga on and off her mat has helped her change the way she views herself and the world around her. She learns more about the practice of self-compassion, self-regulation, and overall self-awareness through yoga every day.
Alexa earned her RYT-200 certification through Yoga Alliance with Maria Salvatore and Brandy Boffa. Her intention is to provide a safe space in class for others to explore their own connections with themselves. Her passion for the practice inspires her to teach yoga so that she can offer the same opportunity for others to experience as well. She truly believes in the power of the practice and hopes to serve as a guide to others along their journeys. Read Less
